The article is devoted to the relationship between upbringing in a family and the socio-cultural context. The author defines the socio-cultural context, explains the mechanisms of its influence and where its potency comes from. She shows the influence of the context on upbringing in the family by the example of media, especially the social media, which she places within the mesocontext. Moreover, the author describes the importance of the context for the upbringing position and authority of parents, their ability to implement the ideal of upbringing in a situation where the pattern of parental upbringing is not consistent with the pattern proposed by the media. The conclusion of the article is the recognition of the socio-cultural context as a framework for upbringing in a family that may significantly limit the educational activity of the family. |
