Popis:	The oxidation of 5-methyl-4-hexen-2-one and of isomesityl oxide by an equimolecular amount of cupric-pyridine complex in alkaline methanol yielded dehydrodimers via dienol radicals as intermediates. Oxidation of the radicals to carbonium ions does not occur.
