Popis:	The 6 1 Σ + u and 7 1 Π u states of the K 2 molecule are investigated experimentally by polarization labeling spectroscopy technique and theoretically in the framework of the ab initio pseudopotential method. A good agreement is obtained between the calculated potential curves and these determined from experimental observations. The irregular shape of the 6 1 Σ + u state potential is confirmed experimentally.
