Popis: We are studying the impact of personalized virtual reality environments on the experience familiarity elicited in our participants. We are also examining the usability of a user interface which participants are asked to interact with while experiencing virtual environments. Additionally, we are examining the ease of material collection for participants, as well as the feasibility of conducting a study like ours. We will present: 1. personalized and 2. non-personalized environments. Personalization here refers to environments in which participants regularly spend some amount of time, or to environments which have been sourced by researchers and are therefore considered unknown to participants. Personalized virtual environments will be created using images and audio based on processed material (video / audio) provided by participants. The impact on the experience familiarity that these personalized virtual environments have will be contrasted against standard environments created using material sourced by the primary researcher, based on findings in our literature review. This experiment is part of the Perfect Fit project, which aims at supporting individuals in adopting and maintaining a healthier lifestyle. The Perfect Fit project is funded by the Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschapperlijk Onderzoek (NWO), with project number 628.011.211.
