Involuntary psyciatric admissions might be traumatic and incriminating, and reducing the use of such admissions is a goal. Although primary health care offers services to persons with severe mental health challenges and thus potentially can facilitate preventive measures, little is known about primary health services' role in persons' health trajectories towards involuntary psychiatric admissions. In this study, we aim to explore factors in primary health care that can affect pathways to involuntary admissions as perceived by persons with lived experience from severe mental health challenges and involuntary admissions and their carers. |
