Popis: | Along with the increasing demand for various video services, Internet service providers face the challenge of increasing the quality of service and ensuring that the quality of service for their customers would be fine. Software defined networks (SDN) are new paradigm in computer networks, allow a centralized software program to control the behavior of equipment within the network. they achieve this end, through separating the control plane from the data forwarding plane. In this research, a framework based on software defined networks and by utilizing holistic view on the network, which would be possible in this paradigm, is presented. Regarding the importance of delays in video services, the goal of the proposed framework is to minimize the overall delay of all links on the network. To this end, routing of video sessions is modeled as an optimization problem. On average, the results of the simulations show that the proposed method has a 44% reduction on average network delay and a 7% increase in network throughput compared to the traditional shortest path-based routing method. |
