Organic electronic devices are extremely sensitive to moisture and they need to be protected through the adoption of an encapsulation package. The use of suitable getter materials can maintain the moisture concentration at an extremely low values, assuring a constant efficiency for a long time. In this regard, the development of dispensable getters provides significant advantages over conventional systems. The control of rheological properties of dispensable getter is of upmost importance to make it suitable with different deposition techniques over different organic electronic device configurations. Tailor made visco-elastic dispensable getter filled with nano- and micro-sized particles slowed down the water diffusion trough the encapsulation package of an organic electronic device. |
