Popis: | Goat milk yogurt is known as one of protein source which have more advantages than cow’s milk. Peoples believe that this product have ability to be used as therapeutic agents for many diseases such as Hypercholesterolemia. Hypercholesterolemia is a condition when the cholesterol level in the blood is higher than normal and leads to cardiovascular diseases. Goat milk yogurt has bioactive peptide and bile salt hydrolases which have potency as anti-hypercholesterolemia. on several organs were aortic, heart and kidney based on histopathology and cytokine expression. Male rat (Rattus norvegicus) Wistar strain were used in this research which divided into control (A), hypercholesterolemic rat (B), and hypercholesterolemic rats with goat milk yogurt therapy dose of 300 mg/kgBW (C), 600 mg/kgBW (D), and 900 mg/kgBW (E). Hypercholesterolemia were induced by hypercholesterol diet contain of 10% lard, 0.1% cholic acid and 5% boiled quail egg yolk for 14 days. Goat milk yogurt therapies were administered for 28 days. This findings showed that goat milk yogurt could repair histopathology of aortic, heart and kidney which was damaged due to hypercholesterol diet. It was also shown declining of TNFα expression on those organs. The higher therapeutic dose, the lower of TNFα expression obtained. This research concluded that gout milk yogurt has potency to be used as therapeutic for hypercholesterolemia. |
