Popis:	Arthrocentesis is a simple yet effective and minimally invasive treatment modality for patients diagnosed with temporomandibular joint derangement. Though conservative methods should be initiated as a first line of treatment, arthrocentesis can be considered before subjecting the patient for any major surgical procedure for the joint. In this chapter the various techniques for arthrocentesis have been discussed emphasizing the merits and demerits of each. It is essential to evaluate the patient and execute the technique accurately for a successful outcome.
