Popis: | To decide adequate indication of endoscopic polypectomy, 46 cases of colorectal submucosal carcinoma including 6 cases with nodal metastasis were reviewed clinicopathologically. The six cases had at least one of the previously reported risk factors for lymph node metastas such as moderately-differentiated histologic characteristics, relatively high degree of submucosal invasion and lymphatic invasion. The most interesting finding of the present study was that all the 6 cases with nodal metastasis showed nonpolypoid growth feature and furthermore 5 of the cases had no coexistent adenomatous tissue. Therefore, nonpolypoid growth pattern and absence of adenomatous component were concluded to be significant risk factors predictive of nodal metastasis in the patients with colorectal submucosal carcinoma. |
