Popis: | During the upsetting of an aluminium ring against a steel die, in which the lower side of the ring was fixed, plastic deformation was investigated theoretically and experimentally. The experiments were done on a Twist Compression Tester, which was constructed in such a way that large stiffness and very good aligning were obtained. The axial load could precisely he controlled. Calculations were done using the Finite Element Method (FEM). Also experiments were performed where the ring was rotated against the die (twist-compression tests), using four different lubricants. The Twist Compression Tester enabled us to measure the frictional torque accurately. |
