Popis: At the time of initial diagnosis, it is common practice for one or more members of a pediatric oncology team to schedule a formal conference with the parents (and generally the patient). During such a conference the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment are discussed. The goal of initial therapy is to cure the child and thus at most pediatric oncology centers the child is generally treated according to a phase III research protocol.
