| Popis: | Prolonged in vitro treatment with interferon (IFN) has been shown to suppress transformed and tumorigenic properties of certain cell types (1–6). Using 12 different cell lines either transformed in vitro or derived from human spontaneous solid tumors, we demonstrate that long-term IFN treatment induces varied and even opposite cellular changes that do not necessarily contribute to the phenotypic normalization of neoplastic cells. |
