Popis: | We consider the problem of determination of axisymmetric residual stresses caused by incompatible residual strains in a circular cylinder of finite height. The solution of this problem is reduced to: (i) evaluation of residual stresses in an infinite cylinder and (ii) determination of perturbed stresses caused by the free surfaces of end faces of the cylinder. The variational method of homogeneous solutions is used to solve the second problem. We also perform the numerical analysis of residual stresses formed in a solid for two given distributions of incompatible strains depending on the radial coordinate. The proposed approach can be used for the evaluation of residual stresses formed in cylindrical bodies in the course of their heat treatment. |
