Popis: This research provides the mathematical formulation and theoretical framework of a multi-area practical multi-source (Thermal-Gas-Hydro sources) realistic power system with a traditional proportional-plus-integral controller for load frequency regulation. Thermal, Gas, and Hydro energy sources are combined in order to improvise the efficacy of the power supply for DISCOs. A realistic power system aims to reduce production and consumption differences. Because of erratic power generation from Thermal, Gas, and Hydro sources and frequency shifts in load, there are fluctuations in power generation, and thus fluctuations in system frequency and voltage often occur. Traditional PI controllers are being used to track the load frequency of the system for deviating frequencies to an appropriate range. In this paper complete mathematical modeling for multi-area thermal, hydro, and gas sources with traditional controller and FACTS devices is presented.
