Many high-throughput methods for the rapid screening and testing of catalysts were developed in the past years. But tools for a high-throughput preparation of heterogeneous catalyst were still lacking, in particular with regard to a further commercialization of the developed catalysts. At Degussa's Business Line Catalysts preparation systems and methods were developed that allow the parallel preparation of heterogeneous catalysts. A major aspect of this development was the adaptation of production procedures and capabilities in small scale in order to prepare catalysts that represent as many features as possible of commercially produced ones. Different samples of the successful miniaturization will be given. |
