The article is devoted to the issues of assessing the risk of accidents at hydraulic engineering structures. The problems associated with ensuring the safety of hydraulic engineering structures in general, with the timely repair measures to prevent accidents of soil dams are formulated. Various types of dams and accident statistics at these facilities are considered. The article presents a comparison of the likelihood of accidents for the most common types of dams made of concrete and soil materials. It was revealed that the most vulnerable are soil dams, an analysis of the reasons that could affect such a result was carried out. The analysis of the state and main characteristics of the object of study - the dam of the South Ural State District Power Station, which refers to soil dams, is given. The main reasons that can affect the reliability of the dam and cause an accident are described. |
