Popis: Patients with medical diseases and sleep disorders have poor sleep quality. Chronic sleep loss not only results in poor cognitive performance and quality of life but also contributes toward worsening of underlying disease-related symptoms. There is a need for a better understanding of the relationships between a particular medical condition and coexisting sleep disorder. The treatment of medical-disease-related symptoms often results in an improvement in sleep loss and sleep-related quality of life.
