Phase composition and structure of thin Sn-Co alloy layers for different electrodeposition processes

Popis: | By means of electrochemical deposition, thin layers of Sn-Co (2.0-10.0 μm) having a limited Co content of 0.3 to 26.0 wt.% were obtained. According to microscopy and X-ray diffraction, at the Co content of 7.0-10.0 wt.%, the structure changes from a tetragonal structure, which is characteristic to Sn, to a nanostructure formed by spherical grains of different size, and to amorphous structure. The changes in the structure are determined by formation of Sn-Co intermetallic compounds, including CoSn2, at the electrochemical process. |
