Popis: | 1. A method has been developed for producing experimental specimens of heaters in the form of tubes and rods of NbC. 2. A method was been worked out for testing the rod and tubular heaters. 3. Preliminary tests of the experimental NbC heaters showed that they hold promise for use in electric resistance furnaces. 4. The design features of electric furnaces with carbide heaters have been elicited. 5. It is necessary to note the inadequate mechanical strength of the heaters which is due to imperfections in extrusion methods. This can be eliminated by using the vacuum scheme of die extrusion, after which new tests must be performed. |
