Popis: | The evolution of local scour with time, caused by a submerged hydraulic jump downstream of an apron, is investigated on the basis of the sediment continuity equation as well as the experimental evidence that the configuration of scour holes in the progressive stage possesses the properties of geometric similarity. A semi-theoretical analysis of one aspect of the phenomena of the problem is presented. Calculated results are compared with available data. |
