Reactions of phenyltellurium(VI) fluorides with alcohols, amines and silicon compounds

Popis: The reactions of phenyltellurium(VI) fluorides, PhTeF 5 , trans -Ph 2 TeF 4 and mer -Ph 3 TeF 3 , with alcohols and amines, or their trimethylsilyl derivatives, are described. The products PhTeF 4 X, Ph 2 TeF 3 X and Ph 3 TeF 2 X (X=OMe, NMe 2 , NEt 2 were characterized by 19 F NMR and isomeric structures are assigned on the basis of their NMR spectra. Samples of trans -Ph 2 TeF 4 contain small amounts of cis -Ph 2 TeF 4 .
