Bubble-forming media are an attractive method of achieving high density archival information storage via optical direct-read-after-write (DRAW) techniques. Several parameters are important in the characterization of DRAW media, including sensitivity, recording latitude, defect density, and environmental stability. The purpose of this paper is to report these and other media characteristics for bubble-forming optical recording media.© (1982) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
