Popis:	Pigmentation of gingiva not just hampers esthetic appearance but also effects the psychological status of an individual. Although there are wide variety of depigmentation techniques available, there is still a great deal of opinion to choose the appropriate technique. Hence, the aim of this review is to understand the process of pigmentation and its therapeutic modalities so that we can avoid re-pigmentation to the minimal degree possible.
