Popis: We report on experimental measurements of transient heat transfer characteristics of carbon nanotube aggregates for the temperature range from 120 to 370 K. A very large thermal transport relaxation time (τ) was observed: about 100 s at room temperature and up to 260 s at lower temperatures, one order of magnitude larger than record large values. These enormous τ values may imply a significant thermal transport phase lagging across carbon nanotube contacts. This finding may provide a new way to improve thermoelectric efficiency by minimizing heat leakage in the time domain. Supplementary materials are available online for this article.
