With the current understanding of Minimal Intervention Dentistry, there is an increased need of approaches to enhance the quality of the bonding to caries affected dentin. This scoping review will provide an overview of the evidence of the use of flavonoids for dentin remineralization. The literature search will be performed in five databases: PubMed; EMBASE; Scopus; Web of Science and Scielo. The eligibility criteria which be adopted are: 1) Flavonoids therapies for carious dentin remineralization; 2) Studies in vitro, in situ and in vivo (animal or human) published in English. While the exclusion criteria adopted will be: 1) Abstracts, reviews, case report, book chapters, doctoral dissertation, and guidelines; 2) Studies using plant extracts. |
