Popis: 1. A new compound with the composition (C2H5)2Mg·C4H8O2 was produced. 2. The IR spectra was studied, and the different nature of the thermal decomposition of (C2H5)2Mg and (C2H5)2Mg·C4H8O2 was demonstrated. 3. Pyrolysis of (C2H5)2Mg under vacuum yielded MgH2, which decomposes endothermically at 390°, analogously to MgH2, synthesized by other means.
