Thermal Effects in Molecular Gas-Filled Hollow-Core Fibers

Popis: Molecular gas-filled hollow-core fibers are attractive for pulse compression of Yb lasers. Here, we show that rotational heating prevents efficient spectral broadening at high average powers and find that buffer-gas cooling can mitigate this effect.
