Popis: | In this chapter, Westermarck’s and Durkheim’s views on othered human groups, especially women and non-Europeans, so called primitive people, are analysed. In Durkheim’s texts, animals do not have real social life or societies, but all humans are not equally social either: women are less involved in social life than men and they are like this due to their nature, which is different from the nature of men. |
