Popis: Nine fractures percutaneously fixed with straight Kirschner wires threaded at the tip were found to heal well. However in some, the end of the Kirschner wires backed out before completion of bone union. Four fractures fixed with curved Kirschner wires from small skin incision also healed well. But, in two, the tip of the Kirschner wires cut out from the humeral head before completion of bone union. These problems happened in severely osteoporotic cases.Functional results are believed not to deteriorate with the local problems mentioned above, but depend on preinjury activivies, pre-and/or postoperative genereal complications, and motivation for the rehabilitation of the patients.
