In facial contouring surgery, surgeons operate to change facial bone morphology and obtain esthetic feminine face. Face appearance after surgery is required to evaluate; therefore, simulations for facial bone and soft tissue procedures are both required. This study develops a soft tissue manipulation method based on volume data to simulate face peeling and healing. Inte- grating with our reported bone surgical simulation methods, the proposed simulator can provide high quality illustrations for the simulations of various modalities of facial contouring surgery. |
