Structure, morphology and optical properties of graphene oxide

Popis: Graphene oxide (GO) and reduced graphene oxide (rGO) nanocomposites, composed of Co3O4 for various application. A facile Hummer's method was employed to synthesize the GO and rGO- cobalt oxide (Co3O4) nanocomposite. These Nano composite are examined by FESEM, and XRD techniques to know morphology and structural phase change. The UV-visible absorption peaks are shows at 259 and 265 nm for GO and rGO/Co3O4 respectively. The X-ray diffraction pattern GO and rGO/Co3O4 exhibits at 2θ= 9.9° and 26.3° with (002) and (220) crystalline planes. The morphology study was done using field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and image shows that huge massive was seen for GO, but rGO/Co3O4 appeared different size cube structure. To study the electrochemical property by using cyclic voltammetry and potential window range was -4.5 to 4.5 V.
