Popis: Nanotechnology has evolved to respond to the needs in the information technology sector. Then, nanotechnology research has developed to enter countless fields. Small electronic devices, advanced computer technology, and memory storage devices provide convenience in our life, and have become indispensable. The new technology influenced the development of various improvements in the medical field including drug-delivery devices, cancer treatment contrast agents, diagnostic devices, and tissue regeneration. Nanotechnology has been introduced in the cosmetics sector, including the skincare market, dermal drugs, bleaching protocols. Minimal invasive ways of surgical treatment via nanotechnologic procedures have pioneered new horizons in plastic surgery. Recently, application of nanotechnology has influenced the plastic and reconstructive surgery field more than other medical fields. The effects of nanotechnology could be observed in numerous plastic and reconstructive surgery procedures, ranging from the use of nanomaterials in implantable materials, to wound closure, wound healing, and wound dressing, especially in tissue engineering and regeneration. The most interesting and rapid developments are in the areas of tissue engineering and regeneration. The possibility of regenerating tissues and organs by imitating physiological tissue is a cutting edge improvement. In the scientific literature, there are many books, chapters, articles, and studies about nanotechnology drug-delivery mechanisms, imaging, and tissue-engineering models of tissue regeneration. Successful and efficient results obtained in these subjects are constantly creating new opportunities for further development.
