An integrated optical system that produces a flat-phase output wavefront, independent of phase and power variations along the input wavefront, is proposed for use at GaAs laser wavelengths. A basic module of this system is shown in Fig. 1. Development of optical antennas for efficient input and output coupling is in progress.1 We report here the performance of the interferometer/phase-modulator feedback loop used to measure and correct the phase difference between adjacent outputs. |
