Popis: | Conventional microjoining methods are inefficient for processing materials with high melting points. To this end, the laser melting stir process (LMSP), was developed, and it is significantly different from conventional laser and friction stir processes. Through the LMSP, high-strength microwelding can be realized owing to the transformation of a liquid phase to a solid phase through stirring. It was found that the process yields better surface properties. The joining strength was comparable to that achieved via laser welding, without any large variation being observed. In this manner, materials can be homogenized under melted stirring, and desirable joining can be achieved. |
