Popis: | Predictive models of maximal isokinetic linear pull strength of the preferred arm were developed from predicted rotary elbow and shoulder maximal strength. Linear pull data were first analyzed to determine the final conditions under which the arm attained maximum pull strength. This yielded Parameters for designing experiments for investigating shoulder extension and elbow flexion strengths. Predictive models of these two rotary strengths were then developed and their values used as variables in other models for predicting linear pull strength. All strength measurements were based on maximal voluntary contractions (MVC). The models were developed from data from 7 subjects and validated from data from 3 subjects. The validation statistics suggested that the models were accurate. |
