Popis: | This paper describes a new method for the time-domain analysis of one-dimensional arrays of dynamic piecewise linear cells. The method exploits the local connectivity, typical of cellular arrays, and the piecewise linear behaviour of the v–i characteristic of the non-linear elements to obtain a piecewise analytical expression of the solution. Examples demonstrate the accuracy and the efficiency, in terms of CPU-time, of the proposed method with respect to standard simulation tools as SPICE and the numerical integration of a system of ordinary differential equations.
