Popis: Angiotensin-Converting enzyme is most likely identical to kininase II (1). This enzyme generates angiotensin II, the most potent vasoconstrictor known (2) By degrading kinins as well, which are potent vasodilators (3), and increasing natriuresis (4), it may be that it increases blood pressure by two separate mechanisms (Fig. 1).
