Organomercury(II) Complexes with 6-Aminopenicillinic Acid, Theophylline and Isoniazid

Popis: Several organomercury(II) complexes of the type RHgL1(I), RHgL2(II) and RHgClL3 (III) [HL1 = 6-aminopenicillinic acid, HL2 = theophylline, L3 = isoniazid; R = p-chlorophenyl(p-ClC6H4), p-bromophenyl(p-BrC6H4)] have been synthesized and characterised. Conductance measurements reveal that the complexes are non-electrolytes. The bonding modes of the ligands to the metal ion has been determined from IR and UV spectral studies. 1H NMR data confirms the stoichiometry of the complexes.
