Popis: | The relationship of an AGN to its host galaxy is one crucial question in the study of galaxy evolution. We perform stellar population synthesis in the central regions of galaxies of different levels of activity. Quantification of the stellar contribution is carried out in the visible range and in the near IR using the equivalent widths of the absorption features throughout the spectrum. The synthesis is performed using a method which, contrary to previous ones, gives a unique solution. |
