Popis: | With the rapid development of wireless network and communication technology, mobility in wireless network is essential issue represents challenges because of the requirement of continuous connectivity. Process switching from one base station to another is known as handover (HO). Parameters like traffic received and traffic sent, throughput, jitter, load, delay, received power, and signal to noise ratio are chosen as the decision criteria for triggering the HO process. In this paper we analyze the performance of handover in WiMAX; we also provide a detailed description of the simulation models developed using OPNET 14.5. |
