The speed of sound in air as a function of temperature

Popis: We describe an undegraduate experiment in which the speed of sound in air is measured at temperatures ranging from 250 to 335 K. We discuss the experimental methods used to make the measurements and compare the results with theory. The pedagogical advantages of this conceptually simple experiment are also discussed.
