Popis: Reinforced composites are mainly used when high accelerations take place. The reinforced composites offer a high potential to reduce the kinetic energy. As a consequence these parts have a higher risk of being exposed to impact loads. Sudden structural failure of fibre-reinforced polymers caused by impact is an important factor in product development for the aircraft industry. Therefore it is necessary to obtain knowledge of the mechanisms and of the material loading during and shortly after an impact load.
