Popis: Sound waves of frequency ƒ o and wavelength λ o ⪢ R resonantly excite the fundamental mode of azimuthal waves on eddies of radius R . This generates standing waves on the rotating eddies at the frequency αƒ o , resulting in a fluctuating pressure field of frequency ƒ o (1+α), which can only excite other eddies of smaller radius.
