Femtosecond Studies of Photoinduced Electron Dynamics at the Liquid-Solid Interface of Semiconductor Nano-particles in Water

Popis: We report direct measurements of the dynamics of photoinduced electrons at the liquid-solid interface of aqueous CdS colloids on the femtosecond time scale. Surface electron trapping was found to occur in < 100 fs, followed by rapid decay of the trapped electrons through primarily electron-hole recombination.
