The author rethinks the role of criminal repression in regulating public relations. Turning to the topic of the re-establishment of the institution of an investigating judge in our country, the author urges not to idealize the historical experience of the genesis of this criminal procedure institute, but encourages further discussion not only among representatives of civil society, but also the scientific community. Conclusions. The results of the study support legislative initiatives in the field of criminal procedure. The author indicates promising directions for further scientific research. |
