Popis: In this project, we are interested in exploring how nonviolent political mobilization of ethnic minorities influence 1)majority support for mobilization goals, and 2)majority attitudes towards the minority. Does minority mobilization generate majority support for mobilization goals? Does minority mobilization on ``exclusive minority issues" vs. ``inclusive cross-cutting" issues have distinct consequences? We focus on minority mobilization on two different issue areas; 1. exclusive issue: minority language rights, 2. inclusive issue: gender equality. We compare how respondents' support for each of these two issues and their attitudes towards the minorities change when exposed to information on nonviolent minority mobilization on these two different issues. The survey takes place in Turkey, where ethnic cleavage between minority Kurds and majority Turks is a core component of political and social landscape.
