Popis:	Arbitration's early uses date from disputes between merchants, but also include arbitration processes between members of religious bodies. And, like mercantile conflicts, the standards that religious arbitrators were called to apply were not broadly recognized legal principles, but rather the narrow and distinct expectations uniquely shared by members of the community from which the conflicts arose. Participants sought to enforce community standards, not legal principles.
