Excited state dynamics of conducting polymers studied by time-resolved optical and terahertz spectroscopy

Popis: Terahertz time-domain, optical pump-THz probe and optical pump-optical probe spectroscopies are used to study the optoelectronic properties of two PEDOT-based conducting polymers: PEDOT/PSTFSIK and PEDOT/PSS. These experiments highlight the role played by polarons and bipolarons in the carriers' dynamics taking place within these compounds after their photoexcitation by ultrashort optical pulses.
