Popis: | Fluoranthene, in the presence of ultraviolet light (300–400 nm) induces the hemolysis of human erythrocytes. The absence of photohemolysis under anaerobic conditions proves that a photodynamic process is responsible for the light-dependent cytotoxicity. |
